"FILMAGE" HOSTED BY MARK HOPPUS

If you know your punk rock history, then you already know that the Descendents were the pioneers that influenced the genre as you know it today. And like every band, it all started with a couple friends in their parents' garage learning to make mistakes and make music.

We here at HMNIM are huge fans, and when the opportunity came along to be a part of this movie, we jumped at it. Now, Mark is already in the movie as they interview him about the influence that the Descendents had on him, but where could we fit in? Sure, we could re-edit the entire film and use the latest CGI technology to drop ourselves into the movie's key scenes (more thought went into that than you probably know). But in the end, we felt the best way to be a part of the film, was to host our own special screening of FILMAGE here in San Diego with our friends Vannen Watches

We'll be talking about this more as we get closer to the 21st. Don't wait until then to get your ticket as all 3 shows are expected to sell out. And did we mention that there will be an exclusive HMNIM X Descendents tee? Oh there will be, and you'll be super bummed if you don't get one.

FILMAGE Synopsis: Long before Green Day and Blink-182 inflicted punk-rock's puncture wound on the map of mainstream music, the Descendents were in a garage concocting the perfect mix of pop, angst, love, and coffee.
FILMAGE: The Story of DESCENDENTS / ALL follows band leader/drummer/square-peg Bill Stevenson and his "caffeinated retardedness" as he pushes his rotating door of bandmates to "achieve ALL," his philosophy of going for greatness at all costs. Stevenson is a force to be reckoned with, proving that not even a grapefruit-sized brain tumor can keep him down.
Interviews with the band, along with Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Mark Hoppus (Blink-182), Mike Watt (Minutemen), Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion) and many more reveal the story of a band — if not THE band — responsible for pop-punk as you know it.

NEW TEES ON THE BLOCK

If you get the New Tees On The Block reference then you either grew up in the 90's or your television is broken and stuck on VH1. You really need to get that fixed, having only one channel is no way to go through life. Sure you could read a book or go outside, but there are literally hundreds of TV channels that you could be watching and to limit yourself to just VH1 is crazy. Do you know how many shows there are about cooking? Or ghosts? Wait, idea time! Why has no one come up with a paranormal cooking show? It's genius! Don't even think about flying to Hollywood and trying to pitch our million dollar idea. We came up with it first. Not exactly sure how that would work. Celebrity ghost judge? No, it's a terrible idea. You can have it. We've got lots of projects we are already working on over the next few months, and we can't get sidetracked with "Ghost Chef", plus there are three new HMNIM tees coming out next week. And part 2 of the Mark Hoppus "Hi My Name Is" video series, but enough about Mark, let's get the focus back on the new tees. New Tees coming soon.
