From Mark:
"When we began recording Enema of the State I was using Ernie Ball music man basses, which I had been playing for years and are great instruments. However, on this record we wanted a slightly different sound so Jerry Finn and I left the studio and drove to Guitar Center where we grabbed a Fender Precision bass off the wall. We took it back to the studio and recorded most of the album with it. I named it Petey because it reminded me of the dog in Little Rascals."
